We will be talking about the word of God and how he moved in my life as I stood on his word. His signs and wonders that I have seen during the last forty years praying for my needs and the needs of others. I hope to encourage a new generation of believers to pray the word of God and to believe that He will move on their behalf. God answers prayers!

Ep 79 Breaking Free from Oppression
Freedom calls your name today. Whether you're trapped by illness, circumstances, or spiritual oppression, this message offers hope that resonates with anyone feeling crushed beneath life's weight.
The corruption we witness in our systems of power shouldn't surprise us. Even thousands of years ago, Ecclesiastes acknowledged how "high officials watch over high officials" while justice gets perverted. But beyond political realities, oppression takes deeply personal forms in our lives—especially through physical suffering.
I share my own raw journey of being confined to a rocking chair for nearly three years, unable to walk more than a few yards without overwhelming pain. Autoimmune conditions can create literal prisons in our bodies. Yet I've witnessed remarkable healings, including a 76-year-old friend who went from being wheelchair-bound and unable to dress himself to riding motorcycles again after persistent prayer.
Jesus came with a specific mission: "to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to those who are bound" (Isaiah 61:1-2). This wasn't just his historical mission—it's his present reality. Christ remains "the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow," still setting captives free when we call on him in faith.
The episode concludes with a powerful prayer for healing and liberation for listeners suffering from any form of oppression. Whatever prison holds you captive today, remember that Jesus holds the key to your freedom. Your breakthrough story could be the next testimony that inspires someone else's faith.
Have you experienced freedom from oppression in your life? Share your story with us or let us know how we can pray for your breakthrough. Your journey matters, and your liberation could be closer than you think.
Well, good morning, welcome to Faith Walk. I'm William, I'm your host. Grab a cup of coffee. This is not going to be a real long one, but sit down a minute and let's talk about the words. This morning I wanted to talk about oppression and being oppressed, and there's several ways we can be oppressed, and I'm going to start in Ecclesiastes 5 and 8.
Speaker 1:If you see the oppression of the poor and the violent perversion of justice and righteousness in a province, do not marvel at the matter, for high officials watch over high officials and higher officials are over them. Listen, the things that we see today in our government. You know we see the corruption, corruption. We see the crookedness. You know it's all been coming out and and you see it. You know, with with all the, the funds and all the monies that they, they're there, they take away from the working man and they give to every cause under the Sun and the politicians are sitting up there and they're getting richer and richer because of these NGOs and these certain groups and these LLCs that they have, that they have no service, have no products, but they launder money through it. And it's happening in our government. But this shouldn't be a surprise, because even in Ecclesiastes. You know it talked about that. Listen, it says that if you see the perversion and the oppression of the poor and the perversion of justice and righteousness in a province, in a country, in a state, do not marvel at the matter, for higher officials watch over higher officials and higher officials over them. In other words, they all look after their self. They all want the same thing. They're not concerned about us, they're not concerned about the money, they're not concerned about anything that we're concerned about. All they're concerned about is taking money from us, giving it to anything that we're concerned about. All they're concerned about is taking money from us, giving it to things that they want to support and then also putting it in their pockets. You know this has been going on for years. This has been going on for ages, and I also wanted to kind of switch gears, because I don't. You know this is not meant to be political. I want to read this other word Okay, so oppressive.
Speaker 1:To oppress something means to be in oppression, or to be oppressed is to crack in pieces, literally or figuratively, to break, bruise, crush, discourage, oppress or struggle together. Listen, it says in Isaiah 58, 6,. It says is not the fast that I have chosen to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke. So through prayer and fasting, we can break the oppression, we can break the yoke of the bondage of those that are oppressing us or those that are over us. All right, listen. It says in um.
Speaker 1:It says in isaiah, in Isaiah, chapter 53, 7, talking about our Lord and Savior, jesus Christ. I'm sorry y'all, this thing won't sit still. It says this. It says, for he was oppressed, he was afflicted, yet he opened, not his mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, as sheep before its shearer. He was silent and so he opened, not his mouth. So Jesus did not accuse his accusers, he did not try to oppress his oppressors, but he came as a lamb, a silent lamb who didn't speak against those that spoke against him, and he went willingly to the cross.
Speaker 1:Now, listen, when this all happened. I'm gonna go to Isaiah, right quick. We're gonna go to Isaiah. I want to go to Isaiah, chapter 60, right quick. Let's go to this.
Speaker 1:Isaiah, chapter 60, verse 1. In 60 and verse 1, it says To arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you, for, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, deep darkness of people. But the Lord will rise over you and your glory will be seen upon you. And then, in 60, isaiah 61, verse 1, it says the spirit of the Lord, god is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord in the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn. Listen, I want to tell you something today. That's what the Lord has done. The Lord, he came to the earth to set the captives free, to heal those that are oppressed, to mend the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives. You know, we've been held captive by a sinful world and we're still held captive by a sinful world. But listen, we can have freedom in that world. We can have freedom through Jesus Christ If we trust in him, if we follow him, if we yield to him. What oppression I mean? There is a lot of oppression out there today. There's oppression, there's sicknesses, you know, uh, I was hit by a sickness, um, immunity deficiency, they say psoriatic or uh, arthritis, arthritis, and it and it hit me at a time where I had neck surgery, I had COVID and, listen, I was sitting in a rocking chair for two and a half, three years.
Speaker 1:I couldn't even move, man, I couldn't move. I couldn't walk very far at all 20 or 30 yards, and then I'd just be in so much pain and they said it was an autoimmune deficiency and so they started treating me and the medicine was worse than that. But what I want to say is, listen, these things, I have seen this same thing, not so much like they call it, they just say it's an autoimmune. I've seen it hit one of my friends. It put him in a wheelchair for two years and he struggled and he fought, but he prayed and we prayed and the church prayed and people prayed for him and he says you know, my God is able to deliver me out of this wheelchair. He even had to go and buy a van. He couldn't dress himself. He's about 76 years old. He rode motorcycles with me. He had to stop riding motorcycles. He sold his motorcycles. Well, listen, I can report today that, praise the Lord, he had to stop riding motorcycles. He sold his motorcycles. Well, listen, I can report today that, praise the Lord, he is out of that wheelchair and he is back right. He had to go go and buy another motorcycle.
Speaker 1:You know, and I've had more than one friend, more than one Christian, strong Christian friend. I'm talking about men that love God, know God, that are strong Christian men that have been oppressed by the devil. I believe it is an oppression, you know. We see the centurion, you know, that went and said that his son was oppressed of the devil and the devil threw him in the fire sometimes and he foamed at the mouth sometimes and Jesus healed him and cast it out of him. Well, listen, sometimes I think we are oppressed of the devil. It's a spiritual oppression, but it's physical in your body, you know, and you have to recognize that.
Speaker 1:Hey, listen, this is not of God because, see, jesus came. Jesus came and he died upon the cross and he came to preach good tidings to the poor and he has come to heal the brokenhearted and proclaim liberty to the captives and the open of prison to those who are bound. Listen, it's a prison when you're stuck in a chair. It's a prison when you're stuck in bed. It's a prison when you cannot move. But listen, jesus Christ came. He's the same yesterday, today, tomorrow. He can set you free from that prison. If you believe in him, if you call upon him, if you say Lord, I know that you came to set me free. Lord, set me free from this prison. You know, jesus healed everywhere he went. He healed the people of their sickness, of their disease. He raised the lame, he opened the eyes of the blind.
Speaker 1:Listen, that's what the church needs to be doing today, because the church is the hands and the feet of Jesus and we need to be about that.
Speaker 1:We need to go out and we need to pray for those things. We need to believe that God is going to do them. God's going to answer our prayers. If you're laying in bed right now, or if you're in a wheelchair, if you've been attacked by some kind of what they call immune deficiency disease, I want to pray for you right now In Jesus's name.
Speaker 1:Lord, I come to you for this precious saint Lord that knows you, that loves you, that doesn't understand what's going on, that they're being oppressed, father, by the evil one, and they're being oppressed, father, by the sinful nature of this world. Father, we speak against it. You said to bind those things in heaven and loose those things in the earth. So we bind that spiritual oppression and we command it to loose that person right now. Those that are listening today, those that said, hey, I need a prayer from you, I need a prayer, I need a touch from God. Right now, holy Spirit, touch them from the top of their head to the soles of their feet and start purging this sickness, this disease, this oppression. Set them free, lord Jesus, that they might know that you are God in this earth, still today. In Jesus's name, amen.
